Donald Sterling and V. Stiviano Speak out on Racist Conversation That Led to Ban | Bleacher Report

I don’t think its possible to be any more dumb than this chick is. I mean seriously she’s not smart enough to figure out that she could make more money being quiet from Donald Sterling that making herself look like an idiot who couldn’t articulate a full sentence if her life depended on it.

Women, if you want to know what having NO SELF ESTEEM looks like, HERE IT IS!!! The fact that this woman prostitutes herself to an ugly fat rich guy is not enough!?? NO she has to be half black and half Mexican so she can prove to the world that she is dumb enough to trick herself off to an UGLY, FAT ,RICH , AND RACIST married guy!

Her parents must be really proud. I actually feel bad for this woman. I’m serious, when people are this stupid you have to feel bad that they don’t have enough sense or intelligence to try and redeem themselves

NBA owners likely to force Sterling to sell LA Clippers , maybe the NAACP can help him

NBA owners likely to force Sterling to sell LA Clippers | Reuters.

Los Angeles Clippers' owner Donald Sterling stands on the sidelines before the game against the Memphis Grizzlies in 2012.

So to say that Donald Sterling had a BAD weekend would be an understatement of the year! After all this is America, with Freedom of speech…..Just watch what you say!!!

This BIGOT deserves EVERYTHING he’s getting right now, from the crazy half black half  latin girl (who states she wants to be president of the USA)  half DS’s age that he was bangin behind his wife’s back to the owners of the NBA and the commissioner banning him for Life and forcing him to sell.

The funny thing about all of this besides DS being a disgusting disgrace of a human being, is that The NAACP was due to honor MR. Sterling for his work over his lifetime. It makes me sick that an organization like this will get in fuckin bed with a racist bigot because he donates money! GUILT MONEY, BLOOD MONEY!

Here’s a clue , if the person donating money to the NAACP has been in court or accused of racist issue in the past OF ANY KIND whatsoever , DO NOT TAKE HIS MONEY. So what the poor underprivileged kids can’t go to the clippers game, They weren’t going to the game before this racist shithead decided he needed the write off. Surely someone with some brains over there at the NAACP saw through this facade of a man.

If the dude didn’t get banned from the NBA the playoffs would have been canceled. The players planned to walk right after tip off. Guess you won’t have to worry about who’s at your games now huh Donald?  So Donald…sell your team, be a man, step up and do the right thing.

As for the NAACP…..fire the CEO , whoever your leader is and screen everyone who send you money for racist suits that have been brought against them before you cash their GUILT money check. IDIOTS.

One Song for the rest of your life? on a Deserted Island!

So listen, I LOVE MUSIC, I have often said if it weren’t for music I would be dead! Seriously, that’s how much music has made a difference in my life! It has gotten me through some very rough times, and been there for the greatest moments also.

Now here is the question, If you were stuck on a deserted island and could only have one artist, or worse yet, One song to be able to play for the rest of your days, could you narrow it down to one artist? or better yet ONE SONG? Think about this, if you had to have one song!!> what would it be>???

Please comment!!!

For me without question it (I have thought about this very much) would be Luther Vandross’s – Superstar /Until you come back to me.

The reason is simple, for me it takes me through a range of emotions, its beautiful and is about love and his voice is just so damn smooth. I have seen Luther Vandross do this song live and in person, I have seen him several times, and each time was unbelievable! I have been to many shows from hip hop to the Whispers, to Bobby Brown , to Ozzy and Metallica and Guns N Roses in their prime. By far.. Luther’s shows were the best I have ever been to! He sounded as silky smooth in person as he does on the CD’s you play in your home and car!……The Guns N Roses Show with Metallica in Orlando Florida stadium show was a close second to Luther. R&B music , is the music I grew up on, I guess that’s why I choose this as opposed to some great Rock Song !

So What Song Would you bring with you if you were stranded on a deserted island forever?….If not the song, Which artist?

I know its so hard to narrow down if you’re a big music fan!

Open Road Acquires Rights to John Singleton’s ‘Tupac’

So this is cool, Lets hope this film actually gets made and that the  person they cast for 2Pac is good. The fact that Afeni Shakur (Tupac’s Mother) is one of the executive producers and Singleton is directing should really make for a well told Story.

For those of you who think that Tupac was just some “dumb rapper” or “Gangster” or “Thug” or a “convict” you are sadly mistaken. Not only was Tupac one of the most talented rappers to ever pick up a microphone, he was very intelligent and has a really moving story . From his often rough upbringing, his mother’s political views and affiliations , to his controversial statements and acts of violence at times Tupac remained an immensely talented rapper, Actor, poet and visionary .

In 1970, his mother, Afeni Shakur, was arrested along with 20 other New York Black Panther Party activists on bombing charges. The Black Panther Party ideology advocated armed self-defense against white violence, and many Panthers carried guns and had planned or attempted targeted bombings. Afeni Shakur, serving as her own defense lawyer, still won acquittal in the spring of 1971, a minor miracle. A month after her release, her son was born. She named him Tupac Amaru after an 18th-century Peruvian indigenous activist who had led an uprising against Spanish conquistadors.

Check out 2PACS song “Dear Mama” as a small example of how he felt about his mother and what kind of artist he was. Tupac had the brilliant ability  to really make you feel a certain way about real life situations and circumstances that were part of the of his and our world. More so than other rappers Tupac was known for being able to accomplish this through his music and art. He was definitely outspoken and controversial and often contradictory at times.

Pac was MURDERED in LAS VEGAS in a drive by shooting while driving in a BMW with then label executive and owner of death row records Marion “Suge” Knight. The shooting and murder of 2pac has yet to be solved.

For me personally, Tupac was like the John Lennon of Hip Hop Music. His music and his art spoke to me. He had a consistent type of an underdog spirit that he carried with him. His Good side and bad side were so visible through his behavior and through his art, you could easily see the struggle he carried with him. I always managed to have faith that he would conquer any demons that came his way and become as successful as he wished to be. Pac always felt he would die young at predicted that he would be killed early in his life. Tupac died on Friday September the 13th . If you’re not familiar with 2pacs poetry Check out some of his collection from the book “The Rose That Grew from Concrete”.

Pac was shot five times in an incident in a new york recording studio in an attempted robbery gone bad in 1993 and survived. He had many other brushes with the law and even did some jail time for a very controversial case in which he was convicted of sexual assault. He brought this woman to his hotel room after the visiting a club, after falling asleep , his friends and security allegedly assaulted the woman, (The same woman who performed oral sex on 2pac earlier at the night club on the stage or dance floor) . The others involved in the case all got probation, Tupac was sentenced to 1.5 to 4.5 years to be used as an example . All people who were close to pac believed him to be innocent. After being released from prison and signed to death row records, Tupac STAYED in the recording studio and recorded and released “All eyez on me” His most successful selling album while he was alive. Its was during this time that tupac recorded a majority of the muisc for his posthumous albums. 2pac’s work ethic regarding music and recording was unmatched. 2pac released 7 albums after his death.

If you’re interested in 2pacs music you can download his Greatest Hits Album Here

John Singleton

Open Road Films has acquired all U.S. rights to “Tupac,” with John Singleton on board to direct.

The pic will be produced and financed by Morgan Creek Productions and Emmett/Furla/Oasis Films. Producers are James G. Robinson, David Robinson, L.T. Hutton, Randall Emmett, George Furla and John Singleton. Executive producers are Afeni Shakur, Tom Ortenberg and Peter Lawson.

Written by Jeremy Haft & Ed Gonzalez and John Singleton, the biopic chronicles the life and legacy of Tupac Shakur, including his rise to superstardom as a hip-hop artist and actor, as well as his wrongful imprisonment and prolific time at Death Row Records, where he was steeped in the East Coast/West Coast rap war.

The pic is expected to begin shooting this summer with casting under way.

Why The Rock N Roll HOF Sucks and should be Taken Over! (Part 2)

File:Rock-and-roll-hall-of-fame-sunset.jpg

(Part One of this post started with a post about the RRHOF and KISS being inducted this year you can see that earlier posting here http://wp.me/p3tySr-e8)

Let me start by saying first that I LOVE MUSIC. If it weren’t for music and the integral part it has played in my life, I truly believe I would not be alive today. Music has impacted me that much throughout my life and continues to do so on a daily basis. The following is the reason or reasons I really despise the RRHOF and their Process.

Did you know that none of the people responsible for deciding who gets inducted into the RRHOF are actually musicians themselves? IN FACT most of them are Writers or at one time editors for music magazines like Rolling Stone. Now correct me if I’m wrong, but wouldn’t a ” Music Writer” more closely resemble a “Critic” ? Rather than an objective party who should be  making decisions based on Rock N Roll history? You mean to tell me that these people remain neutral and don’t let their personal tastes influence their decisions? The RRHOF  have been largely criticized for letting politics or “Not enough big names” alter their decision making process, considering that not having big enough names would make it hard to fill the dinner seats at the induction ceremony. Progressive rock , many forms of Black music, 60’s top 40,  and new Orleans Funk are often Overlooked as are many bands that are huge in Rock N roll.

Just last year The band RUSH finally was inducted after being eligible for many, many years. The RRHOF will not disclose exactly what their selection process is or how its really done, Or even What exactly is the Criteria for getting the nomination for induction . The only real hard and fast rule is the performer has to have 25 years since their first release. The RRHOF prefers it this way. When talking about inductees to the RRHOF here is heavy lobbying for particular artists because obviously there is money to be made. An increase in record sales for one, and many other forms depending on the artist. You can imagine how there might be some “back door” payola going on here like back in the “pay to play” days of radio and pursuing airplay for your artist.

It seems to me that The Museum and its activities that are responsible for creating more than 950 jobs with an economic impact of more than $100 million annually to the city of Cleveland should really be run more carefully. At the very least the people directly involved in induction process should really have been a big part of music directly or be musicians themselves. I would much rather have someone that has been the president of a record company or A very successful  A&R person who was once an artist themselves handling the inductions , rather then some writer who thinks they understand Rock N Roll music and the impact that an artist / musician has made to the millions of people who’ve heard the music.

There should also be a set of basic rules for induction, obviously there can be exceptions depending, but at least if there were a basic criteria and a real process that included the fans voting on ballots could do nothing but help the RRHOF. Right now the process sucks and I will prove this with the list of artists that are still not in the RRHOF but have been eligible for quite sometime.

Tom Morello (A harvard graduate and awesome musician himself) Inducted KISS (Eligible since 1999 and just got in this year) the other night into the RRHOF. He stated that the current criteria for induction as he understands it is as follows. The artist has to have these basic qualifications to even be considered. The Artist should have had IMPACT …..INFLUENCE……and  AWESOMENESS, and of course 25 years since their first release.

Now here’s a current list of artists that have not been inducted and possibly not even considered for induction, but all deserve it. Keep in mind how long some of these artists have been eligible for induction and the impact they may have had on Rock N Roll. Also Rock N Roll influenced many other forms of music.  These are just some !!!! in no particular order except for the first one , the rest are just ones that really stand out to me!

My number one to not be inducted #1  DEEP PURPLE –  ELIGIBLE SINCE 1993 OVER  100 million albums sold worldwide, Nominated in 2012 but did not get the vote for induction. Correct me if I’m wrong, is there a more recognizable guitar riff than “Smoke on the Water”? when I was growing up EVERYONE learned this FIRST on the guitar!!!!

#2 JOURNEY (ELIGIBLE SINCE 2000)  In 2009 Don’t stop believin became the highest selling catalog track in itunes History. Eight platinum albums, One DIAMOND selling album . Possibly the best selling greatest hits album in Rock History, and one of the most recognizable voices in Rock N roll. IS there anyone in the world who doesn’t know at least ONE Journey song?..seriously! IMPACT?? INFLUENCE? AWESOMENESS? they practically Invented the POWER  BALLAD!!!

#3 Pat Benatar – (eligible since 2004) Four time grammy winner, 40 top ten singles, several multi – platinum albums. She ruled MTV in the 80’S and c’mon now people, HOW MANY WOMEN did she influence ? Would there be a Madonna, Gwen Stephani , Pink  or several other women in music today if it weren’t for PB and her complete AWESOMENESS! not to mention her music!

#4 STYX – (Eligible since 1997) 4 consecutive multi platinum albums,16 top 40 singles and people ALL over the world who still do a dance Called the ROBOT, influenced possibly by a song called MR ROBOTO! Not to mention, Lady, come sail away, babe, and many others! The BAND IS ICONIC!!! are you kidding me RRHOF????

#5 Joan Jett / The Runaways –(eligible since 2005) Joan had a number one single with I love Rock N roll and Three certified platinum albums, who can argue with the influence that this band had on Rock N Roll? Lita Ford? Joan Jett , Cherie Currie, all still currently making music today!

#6 IRON MAIDEN – (ELIGIBLE SINCE 2004) 85 million records wordwide despite VERY little radio or TV time this band is STILL SELLING OUT ARENAS all over the world!. IMPACT???? INFLUENCE??? AWESOMENESS??? is there anything more awesome than their Mascot EDDIE????? when i was a kid we waited for their album to drop JUST to see what eddie would look like on the new album cover!!!…..C’MON RRHOF….this is why you guys suck so bad!

And just a few more that don’t need explaining….Most have not even been Considered yet.

Judas Priest (eligible since 1999)

Def Leppard  (eligible since 2004)

Barry White (eligible since 1998)

The Scorpions (eligible since 1997)

Motley Crue (eligible since 2006)

RRHOF you guys SUCK AND have no clue what you’re doing!!!!

9 Unfair Myths about Alcoholic / Addicts

things-about-addicts

1. Addicts are unemployed bums.

While it’s true that addicts do sometimes end up unemployed and homeless, this is far from an all-inclusive lifestyle. In fact, addiction affects men and women from all economic levels, walks of life, and demographics. Just ask Great Britain’s Prince Harry, news anchor Elizabeth Vargas, or talk show hostess Wendy Williams. There are actors such as Russel Brand, Robert Downey Jr. and Drew Barrymore. Famous authors are far from immune; take Earnest Hemingway, Edgar Allen Poe and Stephen King. Many addicts have families, are the primary breadwinners or could even be your bosses. Addiction preys on anyone, no matter their fame, wealth or success.

2. Addicts use every day.

I’ve heard people say there’s no way they’re an addict because they only drink or use drugs on the weekends. When or how often you use doesn’t define whether or not you’re addicted. Instead, the American Society of Addiction Medicine defines addiction as a situation in which any of the following factors are present:

  • An inability to abstain on a regular basis
  • Behavior control impairment
  • Increased cravings for the emotional/physical response the substance or behavior offers
  • Inability to distinguish serious problems in behavior and relationships
  • Uninhibited, defective emotional responses

If an individual absolutely needs drugs or alcohol for any reason, even if it’s not on a frequent scale, it is safe to say that they are victim to an addiction.

3. Addiction is voluntary.

The first drug or alcohol experience is a choice, but the ensuing consequences may be beyond their control. Often, the substance or behavior has the power to rewire the brain. The brain rewards us with pleasurable chemicals when we engage in life-sustaining activities such as eating, exercise and sex. Drugs and alcohol manipulate the brain’s pleasure center, tricking it into processing the addiction as a life-sustaining activity. Imagine the difficulty of kicking a “habit” that your brain is convinced you need to live.

4. Addiction is a moral problem.

Many religions exhort followers to abstain from alcohol and drugs. Addicts often go to extreme, illegal measures to obtain a fix. Does that make addicts morally wrong if they use or drink? This is a tricky topic, but I will say this; addiction is a disease of the brain, and morals are often powerless to that. The addiction is in control.

5. All addictions stem from mental health disorders.

Up to 50 percent of addicts do experience co-occurring mental health disorders. They are not the sole cause of addiction, though. I certainly encourage addicts to seek the emotional help they need, but they must also take the fight to their addiction. Even if they are deeply entwined, addiction must be treated as a separate entity to be worked through alongside mental issues.

6. Addiction runs in the family.

The National Institutes of Health agrees that genes can predispose people to addiction by more than 50 percent, but the addiction gene is a myth. Personal experiences and environments also play a role in addiction. This could have been exposure to substance abuse or addictive behavior in the family while growing up. Perhaps a colossal trauma or loss that rocked the very foundation of the addict’s life. The possibilities are as infinite as there are human emotions. We must focus on healing and recovery rather than pinning blame.

7. Addicts can decide to quit anytime.

While I’ve witnessed many successful recoveries, it is vital to realize that merely willing the addiction away is impossible. The brain has the addiction confused for a survival mechanism. Addiction holds all of the cards and exerts a dictator’s grip. To break that control, addicts need social and professional support, tools for withdrawal relief, and plenty of encouragement. They need to build a lifestyle that welcomes happiness and health, a clean social network and goals. This takes time, patience and the will to pick yourself up after a fall, no matter how many times it happens!

8. Addicts who quit using are no longer addicted.

I know plenty of recovering addicts who bought into this myth and thought, “I’m cured. I can drink one beer and be okay.” We all know how this turns out. Addiction never vanishes and will always lurk within you, even if it no longer has control. That is why it is essential to stay vigilant, healthy and mindful of relationships. Not only will this protect from relapse, it will enhance life in every way.

9. Addiction ruins a user’s future.

Addiction can certainly destroy a life. However, recovering addicts are often the strongest, most resilient people I know. They rise from the ashes and discover a quality of life beyond their wildest dreams. Addicts can commit to recovery, learn from their experiences and successfully contribute to society as hard-working, productive individuals with a bright future. Even more inspiring is just how willing and devoted they are to helping others do the same!

I know these nine hurtful and dangerous myths are only a few of many. However, education combats ignorance and allows people to view addicts in a different light. After all, addicts are people, too.

Cell phones, Texting and why are you CALLING ME?

So I just read a post on another blog about cell phones , text, and actual land line phone calls which you can read here.

The blog was all about a person getting a an actual call from a friend he hadn’t heard from in a while. He was shocked that the person decided to actually place a phone call instead of using a more than common text message. The friend stated that he was calling to catch up and just to say hello. The person receiving the call not being a good “Phone person” wondered why his friend didn’t just text him instead of making such an Intimate interpersonal move as wanting to actually speak to this his friend. The entire subject matter of this post really Irks me.

Have we really come that far down the technology pipeline , in that an actual call from a friend that wants to actually speak to you is seen as uncommon, unjustified, or annoying  for wanting to say hello. Now i can understand, if your a guy with a job who spends a majority of your time on phone selling something or speaking to clients 8 out of 10 hours a day , I sympathize with your annoyance in that situation. Anything short of that scenario to me is really sad. My ex-wife is famous for this text only move because it allows her to get everything she wanted to say off her chest regardless of consequence and with no chance of rebuttal from the other party involved (more often that not, me) . Excuse me if when considering an important subject matter like my kids for instance , I prefer speaking to an actual voice rather than tapping little buttons on a little box with light that most of the time i would like to crush to begin with. In this century we are just getting further and further away from any kind of intimacy or learning about how to form interpersonal relationships with people. For the record I have always supported technology, and I’m always the first in my family to help advance everyone else when it comes to computers, online stuff , and basically anything tech related. Most people have preferred to do without land lines in their homes anymore, which makes sense. We used to keep one for emergencies only but have since moved away from that idea.

Look I get it, the days of you not being home and missing a call, having to search for a payphone to use, or making sure your number is not listed for the people you don’t want to call you can’t find you.  I’m not crazy about talking on the phone either , so call me old fashioned but I still prefer speaking to a friend and actually hearing their voice if its someone I haven’t spoken to in a while and wants to catch up. Save the text messages for business like things and use actual voice for personal whenever possible would be my advice to someone growing up in this century! Here’s a newsflash for you, NO ONE WILL remember what you tweeted ,Posted on your facebook page , or Instagramed or texted to someone when your lying on your death bed, or have passed away. They might however remember that conversation they had with you In person or :::GASP:::: on the phone that time when you were supporting them through a difficult time! What do you think???

Taco bell and Ronald Mcdonald

First off why is TACO BELL deciding they want to take on McDonalds? Just because they have some breakfast sandwich wrappie thingy now all of the sudden they want to go after the BIG BOY? LETS just forget the fact for a second that Mcdonalds had the Egg McMUFFIN or the BIG BREAKFAST or the best hash browns and pancakes this side of the Mississippi or that side for that matter.  Taco Bell suddenly decided OK we have a couple breakfast things and now they go After RONALD MCDONALD? What IDIOT over at Taco Bell thought that this was a great idea for a marketing campaign?   They should have stuck with their Dog commercials and they wouldn’t be in this mess to begin with. Now they want to go after McDonald’s Mascot the clown Ronald Mcdonald? LOOK TACO BELL its not that Mcdonalds has Ronald McDonald (AND don’t get it twisted Ronald has done a TON OF CHARITY work), ITS BECAUSE THEY have what no one else has. and that’s the HAMBURGLAR!!!!! and a Kick ass breakfast that ends too early!!!!! IDIOTS!
